Ask any
person what he wants in life. His answer will be to succeed in whatever venture
he or she is engaged in. But ask the same person how many times he may have
given up because a situation got too challenging and problematical and he did
not want to spend the time or effort to do it in the way in needed to be done.
In other words, such people have actually made the choice to not succeed, even
thought nobody wants to fail.
No excuse
will do as success largely and perpetually is a matter of choices we make. You
can chose to be success, by choosing to deny yourself temporary pleasures and
to put in the long hours that your aspiration and to put in the long hours that yours
aspiration and ambition requires. If some times, despite your best efforts you
do not succeed, remember that the tree on the mountain accepts any weather
nature brings. However, the only choice a tree has is putting down its roots,
as deeply as possible. The same is true of human beings. Instead of
surrendering yourself and your happiness, elect to honour your vision. If one
advances confidently in the direction of one’s dreams and he endeavours to live
the life which he or she has imagined, he will be successful. Always remember,
that your own resolution to succeed is more important than anything else. The men
who have done big things, are just women and men like you and me. The only difference
is that they were not afraid to attempt big things, and were not afraid to risk
failure in order to succeed.
Life lies in
the living and is a sequence of instantaneous seconds and minutes. We can
succeed only if we utilize each moment effectively and joyfully. Never discourage
yourself, or allow others to discourage you about your dreams or your
endeavours. All limits are self imposed eventually, what you determine not to
do portrays your life, as much as, what you do select to do. The choice of
being happy or otherwise is always available to us. Emerson said: ‘ Big jobs
usually go to men who prove their ability to outgrow small ones’’
